Kyoto in summer (夏之古都) - PART 3

20 June - 21 June

It's Sunday morning, we woke up a bit early around 7am , since wearing yukata takes time .

It's steaming hot. I could feel the sweat flowing down at my back.
Waiting bus to Arashiyama ( 嵐山)

Arashiyama is located at the outskirts of Kyoto , Western Part of Kyoto. This place is famous for its wonderful natural environment and Tenryuuji (天龍寺) - one of the Best Zen Temple in Japan, Sagano Bamboo Forest, and Togetsukyo (渡月桥) meaning "Moon Crossing Bridge".

The Arashiyama is laced with many nice japanese traditional stalls .

Sagano Bamboo forest , the bamboo forest trail leads you to the 天龍寺。 Here is simply enchanting ..

Bumped into Maiko san (舞子), apprentice geisha. They were not the real Maiko san, they are just having fun dressing up as Maikosan.

This Tofu Ice Cream taste literally like the tofu we normally eat at home, adding with a scent of tofu and sweetness. This made me missing the Tau Fu Fah back home..豆腐花!!

We went back to Kyoto Station to change our clothes and heading back to Hiroshima. Before that gotta satisfy our stomach first.
This exactly looked like "Nasi Pattaya" in Malaysia, but the filling and the sauce preparation are slightly different, inclines to western-style and cheesy.
By looking at its appearance, you could guess this is Japanese Style one ,和风蛋包饭.

Our 2 days 1 night Summer Kyoto Trip came to an end finally. The places we visited these 2 days 80% are temples... I could hardly remember the name belongs to which temple actually, too many temples in Kyoto! You may suffer from 'temple fatigue' in Kyoto. But, I was particular impressed by the 金閣寺.
Since now is summer, it's pretty hot in Kyoto . I would suggest you to visit Kyoto in Spring or Autumn, coz in Spring there is cherry blossom, while during Autumn there is Momiji ( Maple leaves ), it would be more scenic during these two seasons I think. In summer, there are only green leaves hahah..

又系时间讲ByeBye啦~~I'll be back, KYOTO!
